One of Visit Harrogate’s annual marketing activities is our popular Gardens campaign which showcases the variety and quality of the horticultural offering across the district.  This year’s Gardens campaign, See How Our Gardens Grow. launches in a week’s time at the Harrogate Spring Flower Show.

The focal points of the campaign are the three flower shows at the Yorkshire Event Centre, RHS Garden Harlow Carr and Newby Hall & Gardens but the activity reaches well beyond these via our website, social media channels and paid digital activity.

This year the focus is on itineraries, encouraging visitors to stay for a two or three-day gardens related break to enjoy more of our floral attractions and also contribute to our accommodation sector. Targeted social media will be used to reach suitable audiences with this message.

Two campaign videos for web and social are currently in production. The first showcasing our main campaign partners: Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal; Newby Hall and Gardens; RHS Garden Harlow Carr; NT Beningbrough Hall, Gallery & Gardens; Rudding Park and the Himalayan Garden & Sculpture Park. The second is a flower arranging video featuring RHS celebrity florist, Jonathan Moseley, who will produce an arrangement inspired by his own floral breaks to the Harrogate district.
