Rudding Park shares plans with local hotel industry

Wednesday 10th May saw our Sales & Marketing Managers networking evening move to the magnificent surroundings of Rudding Park.  This privately owned luxury hotel, with 90 bedrooms a destination spa, two restaurants, a kitchen garden, private cinema, two golf courses all set in 300 acres of landscaped gardens and woodland, has ambitious plans for further development to create a Country Club.

Think – Stoke Park, Roehampton Club, RAC club, or Foxhills – all of these family Country clubs are based outside London. There is no equivalent facility in the North of England and we feel that there is no reason why Harrogate could not have the same offering as the affluent South of England” to quote Peter Banks, Managing Director at Rudding Park.

On the evening Peter came along to take the group through the plans to build a new golf clubhouse, a michelin starred restaurant, function and work/life space, a large gym, a fitness pool, studios and spin rooms in one building.  Plus an entirely separate Childrens facility – to include an outdoor and an indoor training pool, creches, bubble pools and outside play areas.

The evening was rounded off with a tour of the many conference and events spaces available for hire and a selection of the beautiful rooms and suites, led by the vivacious and always welcoming Elaine Hardy, Business Development Executive.

Many thanks to the whole team at Rudding for hosting the evening and sharing their plans with the group.

Both the Attractions Forum and Hotel Sales and Marketing Managers groups will meet again in early September, keep an eye on your emails for details of dates and venues

Anyone wanting to get involved or offer to host a future meeting should contact our Partnership & Commercial Manager, Helen Suckling
